30th December, 2004 The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Dear sir, The Effects from the Tsunami Tidal Waves in the West Coast of South Thailand As requested by the Stock Exchange of Thailand, publicly listed companies affected by the Tsunami Tidal Waves in the West Coast of Southern Thailand which include the areas of Phuket, Phang-nga, Ranong, Krabi, Trang and Satun, leaving a trail of vast devastation including the loss of lives and properties, we are hereby reporting the effects of the aforementioned Tidal Waves in so far as we are concerned as follows : Haad Thip Public Company Limited, Bottler of Coca - Cola products in the 14 provinces for South Thailand, was not directly affected by the Tsunami Tidal Waves, but Haad Thip has temporarily ceased operation on all soft drinks. And instead, we have put allout efforts to produce and bottle Haad Thip Drinking Water for the purpose of distributing them to those who were affected by the worst-ever natural disaster in Thailand. Together with our drinking water, we also handed out ready-cooked foods such as boiled eggs, instant noodles, buns, clothings, candles and matches, to name but a few. Furthermore, hundreds of our staff members from Haad Thip have voluntarily donated blood for those who were injured and require blood transfusion from this tragic incident. Though Haad THIP may not be severely affected by The Tsunami catastrophe, Haad Thip has suffered from the loss of property and assets such as bottles and plastic cases which were stored in shops, restaurants, hotels, and resorts along the coast of the 6 provinces. These assets have been washed out and swept away, or buried in mud and sand.
